I used to really enjoy the brainstormings. My reasons for no longer going have been discussed with the mods, but before that, I found it a beneficial time for all of us to get together and let loose a little bit. We were (most of the time) able to iron out wrinkles, hunt down plot bunnies, in general, get things done! But lately it seems like only a few people show up and actually participate. These meetings can only work if EVERYONE participates. Lurking in the background doesn't help. And yes, I'm now guilty of that myself.
One reason I am no longer going is the time change. I understand that works for mostly everyone else, and I totally understand that! But it's not convenient for me at all to come at 5 on a Saturday. I don't expect that to change for one person. Majority rules!!!
Anywho, that's my two cents, for what it's worth.
98% pure evil...and loving every minute of it!

I had to put other because it's a really difficult question. I did enjoy the brainstorming sessions when we first started. I've lost a lot of the enthusiasm, though, because I'm finding it more difficult to come up with ideas. You probably noticed that I can barely come up with original ideas anymore. And sometimes when I do, I'm always afraid I'll be shot down in flames. The time change didn't bother me, but I don't know if it bothered others that my dinner time came less than an hour after the session started. And let's face it, I live in a neighborhood of almost all elderly people, and I've had to deal with several emergencies in the past couple of months. My next door neighbor to my left has had a stroke, another neighbor's daughter has cancer and has had paramedics come over at least twice, two have recently passed away, and so forth.
The biggest issue I think in this mess is the one thing every one of us has to deal with: REAL LIFE. Lauren's very busy with the greenhouse right now and is recovering from surgery, Lynn's got college life, and our friends across the pond are having to do this way late into the night on their end. I want to be able to continue this, I really do. I just hope we can work something out on this.
Life is too short, so play hard!
