Should we change our brainstorming session times?[ 5 vote(s) ]
1.Yes 5 / 100%
2.No 0 / 0%

When we originally decided to have brainstorming sessions, the time of 2 p.m. Eastern was chosen in coinsideration for Rain and Nikki, so they'd have it early in their evenings and it wouldn't be too early for the rest of us.

However, since Rain's work has her going to after 10 p.m. her time, and Lynn's work necessitates her sleeping during the day, I thought this might be a good time to reconsider our brainstorming schedule. We might not be able to come up with a time that suits everyone (I'm thinking Sarah here), but it might enable us to have more than two to four people on hand for the sessions.

If you like the idea, please respond in the poll and tell us what time is best for you on Saturdays and Sundays.

I live in Arizona, most of which doesn't have DST, so my time changes from 2 hours earlier than Eastern time, when it's standard, to 3 hours earlier, then it isn't. Afternoon would be better for me, especially if we hold the session on a Sunday, since I sing in the church chorale from September through May, or if I want to attend the 10:30 AM service instead of the 8:30 AM one.

Plus, a later time allows me to get more done beforehand, and not have to worry about when I can get it done, since I don't know how long a session will last.

Please don't worry about me. I'm not likely to ever make the brainstorming sessions (at least for a few years), so... yeah. I'd like to join in, but I can't.

If its later in the evening, I'd be more likely to make it even when I work the night before, which is most of the time. Five pm eastern time or later would allow me to get at least seven hours of sleep before the session

Actually, I'm leaving the terrible job this Friday for a Monday-Friday job, so my weekends are now completely free. Time is whenever suits the majority. I'm very flexible and I don't mind starting late GMT -- as the only GMT player left I think it's more fair to be suitable to the players on the other side of the pond. The only person later in the day than myself is Sarah, but as she can't make the sessions, it should be fine. I'll stay up late!

If you wanted to shift it to start at 10pm GMT or 11pm GMT that would be fine. I'm terrible with time zones so I don't know what that is for anyone else, but it will be later.

I would love to do it in the evenings, particularly after dinner (which is around 5:30 p.m. Central at the latest). This way, if Mom wants to go shopping during the day (usually on Saturdays), it won't be a problem. Of course, I do understand Rain being on the other end of the pond. Sundays during the summer won't be a problem with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reruns going on.

It seems as if a majority wants to change the time to later in the day. So I've suggested on the June brainstorming thread that we go with 5 p.m. Eastern. That's 4 p.m. Central, 3 p.m. Mountain, 2 p.m. Pacific and should be 10 p.m. GMT.

If there's a problem with the time, we'll tweak it next month.

Now, for some feedback.

How did the change in time work for you all? Let's hear what you think about it.

It didn't really change anything for me. I was happy enough before and I'm happy enough now!

I like the new time. It was nice to get things out of the way and then be able to do the brainstorming. Though normally if things run that late I'd have to leave for work at eleven Eastern Time. As I said before if, if I work the night before it'll allow me to get some uninterrupted sleep.

I like the new time. I can get more done - like laundry - and out of the way, so I can be ready to devote my full attention to the session.
